Ben Leet takes the reins as CEO, JT Turner to focus on product and strategy

It’s with great excitement that we’re announcing the next stage in our transition to become a SaaS (software as a service) platform solution. Delineate’s platform has long been the centre of how we generate insights for clients. Our move to offer a SaaS solution will offer brands and businesses direct access to the platform and an enhanced suite of services.

To enable the move, key changes have been made to the company’s management structure and skills portfolio. Our founder, James (JT) Turner, will step down as CEO, taking on a new role of President, shifting his focus to strategy, partnerships and platform development.

This shift is what’s needed to make Delineate a fully platform-based business. I founded Delineate with the intention of harnessing the power of technology to improve research. That’s what our platform has been doing for our clients for the last three years, but now we want to open that up. So, it’s natural we would make changes to the way we’re structured

President & Founder, Delineate

In addition to JT’s move, we’re thrilled to welcome back Chris Bunyan (Black Swan, Attest, Kantar), who returns to Delineate as Product Director. He brings his decades of expertise in research and platform development back to the team and will oversee all aspects of product development and the shift to a SaaS business.

Completing these changes, our COO Ben Leet will now become CEO. Having led YouGov in the UK, Ben joined Delineate in 2018. Having sat on the Delineate board, he has been the key driver of the business’s operational success and customer focus to date. He will now lead the business into its next chapter and will report directly into the board.

Our board chair, Paul Edwards said of the changes, “this is an incredibly exciting time for the Delineate team. Ben’s appointment is great news, and he has all the skills the business needs for this next phase. The shift to a platform-based business model has been coming for some time, and the platform is already powering so much of the work. By creating greater focus, the team are not only ensuring they are fit for the future but are fulfilling the vision JT set out when he founded the company four years ago.”

All changes take effect on 14th September. And we couldn’t be more excited.
