What is your role at Delineate?

I work as day-to-day contact for some of our global clients who run continuous brand trackers with daily sampling. I manage the projects while also lead on the data deliverables to our clients, aligning their needs on insights and making sure our data delivers value to them.

What were you doing prior to working at Delineate?

I worked across various market research agencies across Hong Kong and London. My last job was with Kantar as a Client Manager, specialising on brand health tracking as well as other ad-hoc studies around brand assets and communications.

What makes Delineate different from other places you have worked?

Delineate is a very dynamic company where you can get involved in the processes and help optimise the offerings. We’re a very close-knit team, so we have the chance to learn from each other, including those working on different functions.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

I enjoy delivering our data to clients, helping to guide and demonstrate how these would help feed into their business needs. When our hard work gets recognised and we see tangible results for our clients is very satisfying.

What does a typical day look like for you?

I usually check into my email to see if there is any requests from my clients, then work with different teams across the business to get these delivered. At the start of every month, I’m usually busy working on data deliverables to the client to make sure they’re on time for their monthly update to their stakeholders. At quarter ends, I would also be putting together reports for clients and creating storylines that answer their business questions.

What excites you about your work?

By speaking with clients, I learn much more about their business as well as their market space. It feels like reading a new story book every day, I also love looking elsewhere for industry insights, which enriches my knowledge a lot.

What is the most valuable thing you have learned at Delineate?

I’d say keeping an open mind to learn from people with diversified backgrounds and expertise. I’ve learnt about how to better communicate, the set-ups of surveys, to different people and get their inputs from an outsider perspective to make things better.

What do you like to do outside of work?

I am a big travel lover – every year I tend to have 2-3 European city breaks and a bigger trip further away. Japan has been my favourite – I visited Eastern Japan and I am following this with a trip to Western Japan.

I’m also a car (or anything transport related) lover and would occasionally go to rallies. I am still dreaming of doing a longer road trip in Scotland or North Wales.

I’m also a proud cat dad of two Exotic Shorthairs which came with us all the way from Hong Kong to London. I love spending time with them out of work – they’re our best soul doctors!
